Dancer of the Week: Angie Tavani

This week we’re so excited to celebrate Angie Tavani as our Dancer of the Week!

Angie is going into her senior year and has been dancing for 14 years, including 6 years at EMDC. She trains in Ballet, Jazz, Tap, Hip Hop, Lyrical, Musical Theater, and is also part of our Competition Team.

If you know Angie, you know she’s talkative, full of laughter, and always bringing energy to the room. Her favorite style right now is tap, her favorite skill is pirouettes (on a good turning day), and one of her favorite parts of dance class is simply seeing her friends.

What makes Angie especially special is the perspective she brings to dance. She hopes younger dancers learn that the most important part of all of this is to have fun and enjoy what you do and the people you surround yourself with- and that joy shines through in the way she dances and connects with others.

Angie says the thing she loves most about EMDC is the supportive community that has made her love dance more and more every year, and we think that says so much about the heart she brings to our studio.

She also shared such a beautiful note of gratitude, saying she wouldn’t be where she is today without her parents and siblings, and that she is so thankful for the gifts and people God has placed in her life.
